Anjuli Bernstein (b. 1990) is an American textile artist and designer based in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  She received her MFA in Textiles from The Rhode Island School of Design in 2018 and her BFA in Textiles from the University of Georgia in 2013, with additional studies at the Lisio Foundation in Florence, Italy. She grew up in Georgia and, after a decade of living and working in New York City, moved out west to New Mexico in the summer of 2026.

Anjuli approaches her art practice through systematic experimentation, intuitively led by her materials and iterative research. Her work is characterized by dimensional surfaces with an emphasis on manipulating light and shadow. While fascinated by natural phenomena, themes of transformation, and complex textile structures, she weaves sculptural repeating patterns as a metaphor for infinite movement and simultaneous impermanence.

Through her design studio, Applied Arts, Anjuli develops bespoke fabrics for the interior design industry. Her first handwoven fabric collection debuted at ICFF in 2025 and was awarded the IFDA ‘Best in Show for Textiles’. Before focusing on her fine art practice and establishing Applied Arts at the end of 2024, she held design positions at esteemed New York textile firms including Patterson Flynn, F. Schumacher & Co., Chilewich, and Sina Pearson Textiles.
